CEO of companies said: partial lockdown will affect labor-goods movement, it will affect industrial production

There is a second wave of Covid-19 infection in the country. To curb this, measures like curfew and partial lockdown are being taken. To find out its impact on the industry, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has conducted a survey. Most CEOs who participated in this survey believe that measures such as partial lockdown will affect labor and the movement of goods. Due to which industrial production will be affected.

50% production loss estimates

More than half of the CEOs surveyed said that if the movement of labor was halted during a partial lockdown, their production would be affected. 56% of the CEOs said that if the ecosystem supporting the movement of goods is banned, the production could suffer losses of over 50%.

Restrictions should not be applied to the industry

CII designated president TV Narendran says strict measures should be taken to prevent Covid-19 infection. For this, the Health and Safety Protocol should be implemented. But strict measures to be applied to social functions should not be applied to industry and commerce.

67% CEOs Want Vacant Employees to Get Vaccine

Companies are willing to work with the government to reduce the impact of sanctions. 67% of CEOs say they want the government to work for the vaccinations of qualified employees of 45 years or above in their workforce.

1.52 lakh new cases surfaced on Saturday

Corona was confirmed in one lakh 52 thousand 565 people in the country on Saturday. For the first time since the onset of the epidemic, so many infected have been identified in a single day. In the last 24 hours, 90,328 people recovered and 838 people died. This year, for the second time this year, 800 or more people have lost their lives in a single day. Earlier on April 8, 802 people died.

1.33 million people infected so far

So far more than 1 crore 33 lakh 55 thousand people have been caught in the infection. Among them, 1 crore 20 lakh 78 thousand people have been cured. 1 lakh 69 thousand 305 patients died. So far more than 10 crore people have been vaccinated. In the country, the number of patients being treated for active cases i.e. Corona has reached 11 lakh 2 thousand 370.
