Most industries in Maharashtra were affected due to the tightening of rules to prevent the spread of Corona, stringent restrictions on e-commerce also
The government has taken several stringent decisions to prevent the growing coronavirus infection in Maharashtra. Due to the ever-increasing proliferation, stringent restrictions will be imposed on industry and e-commerce in the state for 15 days. The worst situation in the country is in Maharashtra. On Tuesday, 60,212 new Corona cases were reported in the state.
On Tuesday, the state’s Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray ordered that most establishments and public spaces in the state would remain closed, only grocery stores, hospitals, banks and stock exchanges would open.
A government notification states that some export-oriented units and all factories/industries producing goods for essential services should be closed. The rules, starting on Wednesday, may affect auto companies such as Tata Motors Limited, Bajaj Auto Limited and Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, which operate factories in the state.
However, the government has stated that e-commerce delivery will only be allowed for essential products. The Chief Minister said that livelihood is necessary, but life is more important. We need to increase the existing restrictions.
These restrictions will shock businesses in Maharashtra, as well as the risk of widespread impact on the Indian economy.
