Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently announced that his company will grow from a social media platform to a “metaverse” company, where the real and virtual worlds will meet more than ever before.
Since then, there has been an increased curiosity about this word in the world. By the way, this word is not used for the first time. But, recently its popularity has increased a lot. People are speculating about it becoming a reality. Technical experts believe that now is the time when you should start knowing about it.
According to senior professor Nick Kelly from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, humans have developed many technologies to activate their senses, from audio speakers to television, video games and virtual worlds. In the future we may also develop devices for other senses such as touch or smell.
Many words are being given for the technology that does this, but there is not yet a popular term that can best describe the combination of the physical world and the virtual world. Words like the Internet and cyberspace refer to the places we reach through screens. But they cannot explain the combination of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality etc.

Just like the Internet, giving birth to limitless possibilities, The metaverse nature of Facebook can increase the ability of people and communities to connect. The idea of the metaverse also gives rise to the limitless possibilities of overcoming the constraints of the physical world.
